About

The Office of the General Counsel functions as the University’s law firm with six highly skilled attorneys, two paralegals, and two support staff. The OGC is responsible for all of the University’s legal affairs and advises the Corporation, the President, senior officers, other university administrators, and faculty and staff who are acting within the scope of their employment. The OGC provides advice and counsel on legal and risk management areas, as well as major policies, initiatives and programs of the University. For Attorney assignments, please visit Practice Areas. The Office of the Vice President and General Counsel is located in the South Street Landing, which is a secure office. Meetings are available by appointment only. Please make necessary arrangements prior to visiting the General Counsel's Office.
